Samruddhi Plastics

The factory is out in Pirangut, at the Bharat Estate. We are in Shop No 1 of the Saptashrungi Industrial Complex. The area is Gat No 107, near Lavale Phata. It is quite a drive out there, but it is where all the industrial work happens. At Samruddhi Plastics, the machines are the main thing. They make a lot of noise and the smell of raw plastic is always in the air. We have stacks of bags and finished goods piled up near the entrance. The floor is concrete and can get pretty dusty with the trucks coming in and out of the estate. Being near Lavale Phata means we see a lot of traffic heading towards the city or deeper into the industrial zones. We don't have a fancy office; it's just a small corner with a desk and some old files. Most of our time is spent on the shop floor checking the output. The Saptashrungi complex has many units, so we have plenty of neighbors doing different kinds of work. We usually start our shift early and stay until the production run is finished. It’s hard work and the summer months get very hot inside the shed. We drink a lot of water and keep the big fans running. It’s just a plain industrial unit doing its job. We’ve been at Gat No 107 for a good period now and we know the layout of the estate like the back of our hand.
