We've been at 122 Shukrawar Peth for quite a few years now. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a standard storefront with a lot of cables and old monitors sitting in the window. Most days, it’s just me and a couple of guys sitting behind the counter with screwdrivers and soldering irons. People usually come in because their laptop won't turn on or they spilled tea on their keyboard. We spend a lot of time cleaning out dust from fans and trying to recover files from hard drives that have seen better days. Shukrawar Peth is always noisy with traffic, so we usually have the radio playing in the back to drown out the horns. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a plastic chair if you want to hang around while we check something quick. It’s a lot of repetitive work, checking ram sticks and reinstalling windows, but it keeps us busy. We keep a stock of basic parts like power cables and mouse pads because someone is always losing theirs. Sometimes the internet goes down and we just sit there drinking tea until it comes back. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a local spot where you can get your computer looked at without a lot of fuss. We try to be honest about whether something is actually worth fixing or if it's just junk.
