Salon Hair & Co. Radiant Arcade is where we are. It’s right next to Burger King on East Street. People often stop by after eating or before going out in Camp. We’ve got the usual setup here. Chairs, mirrors, and a lot of towels that need washing. It gets pretty busy on Saturday afternoons, especially when the weather in Pune is nice and everyone is walking around the market. We don't do anything too fancy, just the standard hair stuff. Sometimes the power goes out or the water heater acts up, but we manage. Most of the folks who come in are regulars from around the neighborhood. They sit down, tell us what they want, and we get to work. It’s a small space, so you hear everything that’s going on outside. The traffic on East Street is always there, like a background noise that never stops. We keep the floor swept as much as we can, though hair seems to get everywhere anyway. We’ve been at this address for a while now. It’s just a normal shop where people come to get their hair sorted out. Nothing more to it. We open up in the morning, brew some tea, and wait for the first customer to walk through the door. It’s a simple life running a place like this in Pune. You see a lot of faces, some new, some old. We just keep our heads down and do the cutting. It’s not a big glamorous life, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy.
