Sakshiladevi Farmer Producer Company is situated at House Number 1 in Borgaon Kale. We are right in the heart of Latur district. It’s a pretty straightforward setup we have here. A few of us came together because we felt like we could do more if we worked as one group instead of staying separate. Latur can be a tough place to farm sometimes, especially with the water situation being what it is, so having this company helps us stay organized. We aren't fancy people. Most of us have dirt under our fingernails most of the time. We use this house as our main spot to meet and talk about what needs to be done for the season. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure the crops get to where they need to go and that we get a decent return for the work we put in. Sometimes we sit around for hours just figuring out the transport or talking about new ways to plant. It’s a community effort, really. Everyone in Borgaon Kale knows us, and we try to help out whenever we can. We don’t have a website with flashy photos or a sales team. We just have our names and our word. It is honest work, and we plan to keep it that way for as long as we can. It’s just us, working the land together.
