Sai Varieties

We are based over in Sutarwadi at Priyogi Plaza. The shop is officially number 41308. It’s not a huge place by any means, but we manage to fit a whole lot of stock in here if we stack it right. We carry various items that people living around this part of the city use every single day. I started this shop a few years ago because there wasn't much else around this specific corner of Sutarwadi at the time. It’s been a while now and we’re still going. I do most of the daily work myself, from sweeping the floors in the morning to stocking the shelves when the trucks arrive. Sometimes my cousin comes by to help out for a few hours when a really big delivery shows up. We have a lot of plastic bins and metal racks everywhere. It's a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two or three people are inside at once. We don’t really spend any money on marketing or anything like that. People just happen to see the shop when they are walking through the plaza on their way home. We keep the lights on until quite late in the evening. It’s usually pretty quiet in the afternoons, so I use that time to catch up on my ordering and paperwork. It’s a simple life running a small variety store. We just focus on keeping the basic things in stock so nobody has to go too far.
