Sager Hair Dresser

Sager Hair Dresser is sitting right at Shop No.2 on Samarth Path. We are in the Karve Nagar-Hingne Budrukh area, specifically at the Vikas Mitra Mandal Chowk. If you know that junction, you know it’s always moving with people and traffic. The shop is a local spot where people from the neighborhood come to get a trim or a shave. We have the usual big mirrors and the chairs that have seen better days but are still comfortable enough. There’s always the smell of talcum powder and aftershave in the air. We keep the radio on most of the time, playing whatever station has the news or some old songs. It’s not a fancy salon with appointments and coffee; it’s just a place where you wait your turn on the bench and talk about the weather or the local news. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping it up between customers. Being at the chowk means we see everything that happens on the street. It’s a good spot to watch the world go by. Sometimes it gets really hot in the afternoons, so we keep the door wide open to catch any breeze. We’ve known some of the people who come here for years, watching their kids grow up and start coming in for their own haircuts. It’s just a simple, honest way to make a living. We keep the scissors sharp and the combs clean, and that is about it for us.
