Sagar Sweets & Dry Fruits

Our shop, Sagar Sweets & Dry Fruits, is right on Sinhagad Road in the Ganesh Complex. It’s a busy spot, especially being right opposite the Bhairavnath Mandir. Many people stop by after visiting the temple or while they are heading home to Dhayrigaon. I spend most of my day behind the glass counters. We have all sorts of sweets and different kinds of dry fruits in those big plastic jars. The address is a bit long with Gogte Wadi and Aarey Road mentioned, but everyone just knows the Bhairavnath Mandir landmark. I usually get here very early to see what's being delivered and to set up the displays. The smell of sugar and ghee is pretty much everywhere. It’s a family-run thing. My brother handles the dry fruit orders and I look after the sweet counter and the customers. We get a lot of people during the festive seasons, which makes the shop very crowded and noisy. It’s hard to keep up with the cleaning when so many people are coming in and out from the dusty road outside. We have those old-style ceiling fans that make a lot of noise but they help a bit. Sometimes we sit on the small stools outside when it’s a quiet afternoon. We’ve been in this part of the city for a while now and know most of the people who live in the complex. It's just a regular shop.
