Up on the second floor of Timanna Nivas in Model Colony, that’s where you’ll find our office. It’s a quiet enough spot in Shivaji Nagar, even though we’re just off the main Fergusson College Road. Dnyaneshwar Paduka Chowk is the main landmark most people use to find us if they get lost. We’ve been here for a while now, working on different architecture designs for people in Pune. It’s usually just a few of us sitting around drafting tables or staring at computer screens for hours. The coffee machine gets a lot of use here, especially when a deadline is coming up. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It’s a practical space where we can focus on the drawings and the planning. Sometimes the rain makes a lot of noise on the windows, but it's a nice place to work. We talk to a lot of clients about their houses or shops, trying to figure out what they actually need versus what they think they want. It’s a lot of back and forth, really. Architecture isn’t always about the pretty pictures you see; it's mostly about the small details and making sure everything fits the plot of land. We just take it one day at a time, trying to do a decent job for the people who trust us with their projects. There is always a lot to learn in this line of work.
