Sachin Hair Dresers

Sachin Hair Dresers is located in Balaji Nagar, specifically in the Dhankawadi area of Pune. We are right by Dyanesh School, so we hear the school bell and the kids playing all through the day. The shop isn't very large, but we have enough space for the chairs and the mirrors. We have been cutting hair here for quite a while now. Most people from around Balaji Nagar know where we are. We open up early and start by sweeping the floor from the day before. It is a simple routine of clipping hair, trimming beards, and giving shaves. We use standard scissors and combs that we keep in jars of blue liquid. There is usually a radio playing some music in the background, or we just talk to whoever is sitting in the chair. People talk about their jobs or the traffic on the way here. Sometimes the shop gets crowded on Sundays and people have to wait on the bench outside. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. It's just a local spot where you get your hair cut and go about your day. We try to keep the mirrors clean, but the dust from the road always finds its way in. Being near the school means we see a lot of parents and teachers too. It is a regular job and we like the neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
