Saavidhi Krushi Farmers Producer Company Limited has its office at the Atrey Co-Op Housing Society in Model Colony. It might seem a bit odd to have a farmers' company in a place like Model Colony, but that is where we set things up. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the paperwork and the business side of farming that people don't usually see. The farmers we work with are out in the fields, but someone has to handle the logistical stuff from here. We aren't big city executives or anything. We just needed a central spot to manage the Saavidhi Krushi operations. It’s mostly about coordinating between the growers and the people who want to buy what they produce. We keep our records here and meet up to discuss how the season is going. There are no polished slogans here, just a lot of talk about crop yields and transport costs. Living and working in a housing society means we have to keep things quiet and orderly, which suits us fine. We have been doing this for a while now and it seems to be working out okay. People come and go, checking on their accounts or asking about market rates. It is just a practical way to run a business. We focus on the day-to-day tasks and try not to get bogged down in anything too complicated. That is the story of our little office here and how we operate.
