S V Dharne Architects

S V Dharne Architects is located at Om 37 Ekopa Society in the Salisburry Park-Gultekdi area of Pune. We are very close to the Dilliwala Dairy, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. The office is part of the society, so it has a very calm and quiet atmosphere compared to the busier parts of Pune. S V Dharne started this practice quite some time ago, and the office has grown into the space with bookshelves full of old architectural journals and drawers overflowing with blue drawings. It’s the kind of place where you’ll always find a half-finished cup of tea somewhere and a lot of pens scattered around. We spend a lot of our time discussing designs and how to make the best use of space in the projects we take on. Being in Salisburry Park is nice because it’s a bit greener and the pace feels a little slower. We aren’t interested in being a huge corporate firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a dedicated group of us who enjoy the process of drawing and building. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but our little corner in Ekopa Society stays pretty much the same. If you stop by, you might catch us in the middle of a big meeting or just quietly working at our desks. We also have a lot of samples of local stone and tiles that we have collected over the years sitting in the corners.
