S. K. Industries

Out here in Kharabwadi, the pace is a bit different. S. K. Industries is located at Gat No. 2786, right along the Chakan Talegaon Road. It’s an industrial area through and through, so you hear the sounds of heavy machinery and trucks at all hours. We are part of the Tal. Khed region, which has grown so much lately. Our building is more of a functional shed where the manufacturing happens. It gets quite loud inside when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard. There’s a lot of dust from the road and the work we do, so we’re always cleaning something. The commute out here can be tough because of the traffic on the Talegaon road, but we’re used to it by now. We usually have a lunch break under the shade of a few trees outside if it’s not too dusty. It’s a hands-on environment. Nobody is wearing ties here; it’s all work boots and practical clothes. We deal with various metal parts and industrial orders that keep us busy from sunrise to sunset. It’s a tough environment sometimes, especially when the power goes out or the heat is trapped under the metal roof, but it’s the work we know and we just keep at it.
