Romaaz Nens Parlor

Romaaz Nens Parlor is at Shop No. 3 in the Sai Corner Apartment building. We are in Rasta Peth, right near the Sai Baba Mandir. It's a busy little corner of Pune. I’ve been working here for years. The shop isn't very big, just a few chairs and some mirrors. We mostly do men’s hair and shaves. A lot of the guys from the apartments upstairs come down here. We know most of them by name. It’s that kind of place. You hear a lot of gossip while you’re cutting hair. The fan overhead makes a bit of noise but it keeps us cool. We keep our tools sharp and the floor swept. It gets dusty outside so we have to clean a lot. The Sai Baba Mandir is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us. People come for darshan and then stop by for a trim. We don’t have a fancy menu of services. You just tell us if you want it short or long. We use the regular soaps and creams. Nothing too expensive. It’s a simple life. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait, but that’s just how it is in Rasta Peth. My cousin helps out on the busy days like Saturday. We just try to stay busy and keep the shop running. It’s been our livelihood for a long time now. We are just simple people doing a simple job.
