If you look for us in Yerwada, you’ll find our place inside the Karma Estate on Mahemdavad Road. We are in unit M/41, and it’s been our base for quite some time now. The estate itself is usually full of activity with vehicles coming and going throughout the day. Getting up to the room takes a bit of effort when you’re carrying a heavy bag of books. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of desks and a chair for the teacher. We deal with students who are trying to get through their exams or just need a bit of extra help with their daily lessons. The walls are a bit plain, maybe a calendar or a time table pinned up here and there. Sometimes the fan makes a little noise when it's on high speed, but we mostly tune it out once the teaching starts. Being on Mahemdavad Road means there’s always some noise from the traffic outside, but it becomes part of the background after a few days. We don't do anything fancy here; it's just about sitting down and going through the chapters one by one. The area around Yerwada is busy, so we see a lot of different people coming through the doors. We keep a register for attendance and sometimes it gets a bit messy with notes scribbled in the margins. It’s just a honest, small room where we focus on the books and the work at hand every single day.
