If you come looking for Redcow Farmer Producer Company Limited, you won’t find us out in a big warehouse or a farm shed. We are actually based right in Flat No A4-703 in the My World complex over in Chikalthana. It is a bit different being in an apartment building in Aurangabad instead of a field, but it works for us. We do all our planning and phone calls from here. You can see the city moving outside the window while we talk about cows and farming. Sometimes the elevator is slow, or the neighbors are making noise, but we just get on with the work. The 431007 area is busy, and being here helps us stay connected to the markets and the people who need what we produce. We have some files stacked up on the dining table and a couple of laptops that stay busy all day. It’s a bit cramped when a few of the farmers come over to visit, but we make room and pull up extra chairs. It is funny thinking about a farming company inside a residential flat, but that is the reality for us. We spend a lot of time on the phone or driving out to the actual fields when the sun is up. It’s just how we decided to set things up for now to keep our costs down. We aren't big on show, we just like getting the job done.
