Our shop is tucked away at 150/A/2/1 4 Shanti Niketan on Agarwal Street in Hadapsar. It’s not a huge place, but we manage to fit a lot of things on the shelves. Most days start with unpacking boxes of notebooks and checking if we have enough blue and black pens for the school kids. Agarwal Street gets quite busy in the afternoons when the schools nearby let out. We see a lot of the same faces every week. Someone might need a quick gift for a birthday party they forgot about, or maybe just some tape and chart paper for a project. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it helps when people are trying to pick out the right shade of ribbon or a specific type of greeting card. We keep the stationery items toward the front because those move the fastest. Behind the counter, there is usually a stack of papers that need filing or some new inventory that hasn't been put out yet. It can get a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at once, especially if they have bags. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood over the years. Some folks just stop by to say hello while they are out doing their other shopping. It is a simple setup we have here. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. Just regular shelves and a counter where we wrap things up.
