Ranbhumi-Farmer Producer Company Limited

The name Ranbhumi sounds like a battle, and honestly, that’s what it feels like sometimes when you’re out in the fields near Kallam. We are based out of Satish Bhausaheb Madake’s place in Post Moha. It’s right there on the Kallam Road, so it’s easy for the guys to find us. We formed this company because we were tired of being the last ones to get paid. When you’re just one farmer, nobody listens to you. But when you’re a producer company, you have a bit more weight. We deal with the crops we grow right here in this soil. It’s hard work, and the dust gets everywhere, but it’s what we know. People in Moha are tough. We’ve seen droughts and we’ve seen too much rain. We just keep going. This company is a way for us to pool our resources together. We talk about the prices in the market and who is buying what. It’s a lot of sitting around and drinking tea while we discuss how to get our produce to the city. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields actually puts food on our tables. It’s a practical way of living. We’re just local people from the Kallam taluka trying to stay in business. It’s not always easy, but it’s better together.
