Our company is out in Wadgaon, which is part of the Kallam area. Shivdas Rambhau Pawar lets us use his place as the main office, so that’s where you’ll find the paperwork and the phone. We are a group of farmers who decided to pull our resources together because it was getting too hard to manage things individually. It isn't a big operation with lots of employees. It's mostly just us and our families helping out when they can. The office is pretty small, just a desk and some chairs where we sit and talk about what we need for the next season. We spend a lot of time discussing seed prices and looking at the weather. Most days, someone is stopping by with a question or just to share some news about their fields. It’s a quiet life for the most part, but harvest time gets really busy and stressful. We don't have any fancy signs or a big website. We just know everyone in the village and they know us. The road out here isn't the best, especially when it rains, so we have to plan our trips into town carefully. We’re just trying to make the farm work a bit more predictable for everyone involved. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours, but it’s what we’ve always done. We don't use big words or have meetings in boardrooms. We just talk over tea and get things done.
