Down in Talni, you can find us at Sow Yamunabai Hasanrao’s place. We are a group of local farmers who decided to pool our resources together. It’s a small operation, run mostly out of a quiet house. We don't have a lot of big machinery or a massive warehouse. We just have each other and our land. We spend most of our time out in the sun, and the office is where we come to cool off and talk business. We handle the buying of seeds and the selling of what we grow as a unit now. It saves us a bit of money and gives us a stronger voice when we go to market. We're not trying to impress anyone with big words or shiny offices. We just want to make a living and keep our farms going for the next generation. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it should, or the prices drop, and those are the hard days. But having the company means we're not facing those problems alone anymore. We’re just regular people who know the soil of Talni like the back of our hands. We do our own paperwork, answer our own phones, and make our own decisions. It’s a humble way to work, but it suits us just fine. We keep things practical and move one day at a time. Every evening we sit outside and watch the sun go down over the crops.
