Rajhans Mens Saloon has its spot right at the Prabhat Road Corner in Deccan Gymkhana. It’s a well-known part of Pune. We have been cutting hair and doing shaves here for a long time. The shop is simple with the usual chairs and mirrors. You get all sorts of people coming in, from students to older men who have lived in Deccan for decades. We talk about the news or the weather while we work. It’s a regular neighborhood barber shop. We don’t have any of those fancy modern things, just good scissors and razors. The location on the corner makes it easy for people to stop by. Sometimes there is a wait, especially on Sunday mornings when everyone wants to look sharp for the week. We have some magazines for people to read while they sit. The fans stay on all day to keep the air moving. We know how most of our regulars like their hair cut without them even asking. It’s that kind of place. We keep things clean as much as we can between customers. Being near Prabhat Road means there is always someone walking past. It is a good place to be. We just keep our heads down and do the work we know how to do. The door is usually open to let in the breeze. We have been here for years now and the routine stays the same.
