Rajeshwan Trading Company

Our shop is at 978 Budhwar Peth, right across the road from the Shukrawar Peth Police Chowki. It’s a very busy spot to be located in. Being right near the police station means there is always something going on outside on the street. Rajeshwan Trading Company deals with various goods that people need for their own shops or for their homes. We’ve been here for several years now. The building we are in is quite old and the stairs are a bit narrow and steep. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and seeing what arrived on the trucks overnight. It’s a lot of paperwork and moving heavy boxes around. We don't have a fancy showroom for people to walk through. It’s more of a practical place where business happens quickly. Customers come in, tell us what they are looking for, we find it in the back, and they go. Sometimes we sit and have tea with the regulars who have been buying from us since we first opened. The area is always crowded, so it gets very loud with the bikes and the people shouting. We are used to the noise by now. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, so it can feel a bit cramped for space. We try our best to keep things moving along. We don't do any real advertising. We just open the doors and wait for the day to start.
