Rajendra Vinayak Joshi

My name is Rajendra Vinayak Joshi and I've been based around the Sinhagad Road and Karve Road area for a long time. My place is at number 5. If you know Pune, you know these roads are some of the busiest in the whole city. There’s always the sound of horns and engines in the background. It never really gets quiet until very late at night. I grew up in this city, so the chaos feels normal to me now. My workspace is just a simple room where I handle my day-to-day affairs. It’s tucked away enough that I can get things done without too many distractions, but close enough to the main road that I'm not isolated. I have a lot of old furniture that I've used for years. It's sturdy and does the job. I don't see the point in buying new things just for the sake of it. Most of my day is spent at my desk or talking to people who drop by. Karve Road is always changing, with new shops opening up and others closing down, but I’ve stayed put at number 5. It’s a good location because everyone knows where it is. I usually grab lunch from one of the small stalls nearby. The food is good and it’s quick. Life here is fast, but I try to keep my own pace. It’s just a regular way of making a living in a big, crowded city.
