Our office is located in RM Nagar, over at Hoyasala Nagar. To be exact, it’s at Parvati, 3rd Cross on the 3rd Main, units 213, 14, and 15. Being surveyors means we spend a lot of time out in the sun with tripods and measuring tools. It's precise work but the environment is usually just dirt and wind. We’ve been based in this neighborhood for a bit. The streets here can be a bit confusing if you aren't used to the numbering of the mains and crosses. We have a few rooms knocked together to fit all our gear and the maps we draw up. It gets a bit cramped when everyone is back from the field at the same time. We usually start the day early before it gets too hot to stand outside. Surveying isn't a glamorous job, but someone has to mark the boundaries and check the levels. We do a lot of walking. RM Nagar has grown a lot, and we've seen plenty of new plots getting marked out. We just handle the technical side of things here. There's always some equipment that needs calibrating or a drawing that needs a second look. We aren't big on decorations in the office; it's mostly just filing cabinets and flat surfaces for the big prints. It’s a steady rhythm of work. We know the local chai stall near the 3rd Main pretty well and usually grab a drink there before heading out.
