Rahatekar & Kunte Architectural Interior Designers

We are over at Indraprastha Building in Shivaji Nagar. It’s a busy spot and we’ve been here quite a while now. Rahatekar & Kunte is really just a few of us sitting at desks with a lot of blueprints and coffee mugs scattered around. People stop by 3025/9 when they need a drawing or want to figure out how to fix up a room. We spend most of our mornings arguing over where a wall should go or looking at tile samples that never seem to be the right shade of grey. The building itself has a bit of character, which is a nice way of saying the elevator is slow, but we like it here. It’s right in the middle of everything in Shivaji Nagar so it’s easy for folks to find us. We don't have a big reception area or anything fancy. Just some chairs and a lot of sketches taped to the walls. Sometimes the office gets loud when we’re all talking at once about a new project. We try to keep things organized but when you’re dealing with interior design and architecture at the same time, there’s always a bit of a mess with measuring tapes and site photos. It’s just how we work. We spend a lot of time on the drawings and making sure the measurements actually make sense for the space. If you come by, you’ll probably see us buried under a stack of site reports or on the phone with a contractor.
