Radisson Hotel

We are over in Kharadi 3. It’s a busy building. There are a lot of rooms to keep clean and the lobby stays pretty active throughout the day. People come in from the airport or for meetings nearby, and we just try to keep things moving. The kitchen starts early because of the breakfast, so there is always coffee brewing by six. Some days are quieter than others, especially when the weather is bad. We spend a lot of time checking people in and out at the front desk. It's a tall building, so there is a lot of glass to wipe down. Sometimes the elevators get crowded when a big group arrives all at once. We have those heavy carpets that need vacuuming constantly. The staff here has been around for a while now. We know where everything is kept in the back rooms. It’s just a regular hotel job, really. You see a lot of different faces every day. Some people stay for a week, others just for a night. We have a lot of linens to fold in the laundry area. It gets warm back there. Kharadi is always growing, so there is usually construction noise somewhere nearby. We just go about our business, making sure the lights are on and the rooms are ready for whoever shows up next. It’s a lot of routine work, but that’s how a place like this stays running.
