R K Design

Shaniwar Peth is an old part of town, and that’s where R K Design is located, at 761 A. The building has some character, you could say. It’s not a modern glass tower, but it works for us. Inside, it’s mostly desks, computers, and a lot of sketches. We spend most of our hours looking at screens or drawing out ideas on paper. It gets a bit cluttered with all the samples we have lying around. Design is a lot of trial and error. You think something looks good, then you change your mind ten times. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The neighborhood is full of small businesses, so there’s always people walking by. Sometimes the noise from the street is a bit much, but you get used to it. We don’t have any fancy receptionists or anything like that. If the bell rings, one of us just gets up and opens the door. Most of our clients are people from around the area who need a bit of help with a layout or a drawing. We take our time with things. It’s better to get the lines right than to rush it. By evening, the light in the office gets really nice, just before we decide to pack up and head home. It’s a simple life, really.
