Queen Parlour

Queen Parlour is run out of Bunglow No 22 in the Krantiveer Tatya Tope Housing Society. We are right on Shivarkar Road in the Wanaworie area. It’s a quiet spot near the old RTO office. I set this up because I wanted to offer services to the women in our neighborhood without them having to travel too far. The space is part of a house, so it feels very personal and not like those big commercial salons. We do threading, waxing, and hair treatments. It’s mostly local ladies from the society and nearby Wanwadi who come in. We talk about our families and what’s happening in the market while I work. I’ve lived in Pune 411040 for a long time, so I know most of my customers by name. The room is decorated simply with things I like. Sometimes my kids are around or you might hear the neighbors outside. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. I don’t use any complicated machines, just my hands and the products I’ve used for years. It’s important to me that people feel comfortable when they sit in the chair. We keep a schedule but if someone is running late, we usually make it work. It’s not a fancy business, just a way for me to use my skills and help out the community. Being near Wanaworie Bazar means it’s easy for people to stop by after doing their shopping.
