Our office is Flat 208 in the D1-Everest building at Naren Hills. It is in the Wanowrie area of Pune. We do HR work, which mostly means we spend all day looking at resumes and talking to people on the phone. It is a small apartment that we turned into an office space. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift isn't working, but the view from the balcony is okay. The rooms are filled with filing cabinets and a few desks pushed against the walls. We don't have a big HR team. It is just a few of us trying to match people with jobs that don't drive them crazy. Pune is full of young people looking for work, so the phone rings quite a bit. Sometimes we have people coming in for interviews and they sit on the sofa in the waiting area, which is really just our small lobby. We keep it simple. There aren't any motivational posters or anything like that. We just look at the qualifications and try to be honest with people about what the roles are like. It is a lot of repetitive work, checking references and updating spreadsheets. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things from getting too quiet. It’s a decent place to work, even if it’s a bit crowded with all the paper files. We just do our best to keep things moving.
