Pune University

There is a branch of Pune University near Shagun Chowk in Pimpri. It’s located in Pune 411017. Most people think of the main campus, but we are over here in the Pimpri area. It’s a busy spot with the market and the chowk right there. The building is older, but it serves its purpose for the students and staff who live on this side of the city. We deal with a lot of paperwork and student queries throughout the week. It gets very crowded around Shagun Chowk, so getting to work in the morning can be a bit of a struggle with the traffic. But once you’re inside, it’s just the usual university atmosphere. There are posters for events and students sitting on the steps talking. We’ve been at this Pimpri location for many years. It’s a landmark for a lot of people in the area. We don't have fancy cafes or anything like that, just the basic stuff you need to get through a day of classes or office work. It’s a bit noisy outside because of all the shops and people, but that’s just Pimpri for you. We just try to keep things moving and help whoever walks through the door. It’s a big institution, but this little corner of it feels a bit more local to us here in 411017. We’ve seen many batches of students come and go from this very spot over the years.
