You can find us over on the PashanBaner Link Road in the Industrial Area Phase 6, specifically at unit 3. It’s a bit of a trek out here but it’s where all the activity is. Our rooms are filled with desks and equipment for the different things we teach. It feels like a proper workshop environment because of where we are located. There’s often the sound of machinery from the neighboring units in the industrial area. We don't have any leather sofas or fancy carpets, just sturdy tables and chairs that can handle a lot of use. The hallways are a bit narrow and we have posters on the walls about different vocational skills. We spend our days organizing the materials and making sure the equipment is ready for use. On PashanBaner Link Road, the traffic can be heavy during the morning rush. We have a small area where we keep the folders and student records. It’s a hands-on kind of place. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes and we just wait it out. We’ve got a big clock in the main room that ticks quite loudly. People come here to learn practical things and we provide the space for that to happen without any fuss or extra polish. Pune Institute Of Vocational Studies is a straightforward training spot in the middle of the industrial zone. We keep a few potted plants by the entrance, but they don't get much sun. The whiteboard is usually covered in diagrams and scribbles from the last session.
