We’ve been here in Navi Peth for quite a while now. The office is tucked away in Shreya, part of the Yashwant Housing Society. It is a quiet spot, which helps when you are staring at spreadsheets all day. Pune can get busy, but this little corner stays fairly calm. People usually find us easily enough once they get into the society gates. Being chartered accountants means we spend a lot of time with numbers and tax forms. It isn't always the most exciting work, but it's what we do. Our desks are usually piled with folders and there is always a pot of tea going somewhere. Most of the people who come in are regulars from around the city. We know their names and their family stories by now. It’s funny how a tax office ends up being a place where you hear about everything from weddings to new business ideas. The building itself is older, but it works for us. We don't have fancy glass walls or anything like that. Just some sturdy desks and enough chairs for whoever drops by. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, especially in the evenings, but inside it’s just the sound of typing and paper shuffling. We keep things pretty simple here. There’s no big corporate vibe or anything. It's just a small team trying to stay on top of the deadlines that come every season. We stay until the work is done, especially in March.
