Our office is tucked away at 975 Budhwar Peth in the Shukrwar Peth area. If you know where the Shreenath Cinema is or the local police chowky, then you’ve probably walked right past us. Jayasukhal Baldota Pethkar & Co is a bit of a mouthful of a name, but we’ve been using it for a long time now. We spend most of our hours surrounded by ledgers and files. It’s a professional environment, but we aren't stiff or corporate about it. Most of our clients are local business people from the surrounding markets who have been coming to us for years. The office gets quite a lot of natural light in the mornings, which is nice when you're looking at numbers all day. The area outside is always buzzing with people going to the cinema or the shops nearby. Sometimes it gets so loud we have to close the door to hear ourselves think. We don't have a fancy waiting room with expensive furniture, just some chairs and a desk where we can talk through things. It’s a small team here, so we all know what’s going on with every file. We take our work seriously but we also like to have a laugh when things aren't too frantic. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation in an old part of town. We stay until the work is finished, which sometimes means late nights during tax season.
