Madhav Mahajan & Co

Madhav Mahajan & Co is located in Adarshnagar, over in the Sangvi area of Pune. It’s a residential neighborhood for the most part, so it’s pretty quiet during the day. We’ve been operating out of here for a while now. The office isn't anything special to look at—just a few rooms with enough space for us and our computers. We spend our time going through documents and making sure everything adds up. It can be tedious work, but we’re used to it by now. We don't have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. There’s no fancy lobby or coffee machine that makes lattes. We just use a kettle and some milk from the corner shop. Most of the people who come to see us are locals or small business owners from nearby. We talk to them like neighbors because that’s what they are. We don't use big words or try to sound more important than we are. Sometimes the office gets a bit messy with all the papers, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical way to work. Sangvi has grown a lot, and we’ve seen the roads get busier over the years. Even with all the changes, our little corner stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and do the work that’s expected of us every single day.
