Prakash Dattatray Shettye & Co has been operating from this spot for quite some time now. Most mornings start with the sounds of trucks backing up and people shouting across the yard. It is a very practical place to be if you are doing business in this part of town. The office isn't anything fancy, just a desk, some chairs, and plenty of paperwork that needs doing. We spend most of our day dealing with the regular flow of people coming in and out. Sometimes the tea stall guy brings over a few cups while we go through the ledgers. It gets a bit dusty because of the traffic outside, but that’s just how it is in a busy trade area. We don't have a big team or a lot of high-tech gadgets around the place. It is just us getting the work done day by day. People stop by to settle things or just to have a quick word about the day's prices. There is no point in complicating the work when everyone just wants to get home at a decent hour. It's a solid place to work and we know the neighbors well.
