Prompt Personnel Consultancy is situated in A P Anandwadi. That’s in the Shiruranantpal taluka of the Latur district. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but for the local people here, it’s a familiar spot. We spend our days helping people figure out their job situations. It’s a simple office, nothing fancy at all. We just have some chairs for people to sit in while they wait and a few tables where we look over applications and talk to folks about what they can do. Latur is a big district, and being in a place like Anandwadi means we get to know the people in the surrounding villages quite well. We don’t use any of those big HR words you hear in the city. We just talk to people like normal human beings. Sometimes someone will come in looking for farm work, other times it’s someone looking for a job in a shop or a warehouse. We try to help where we can. The weather out here can be tough, and the power goes out sometimes, but we just keep the doors open. It’s a small operation. Most of the time it’s just us and a few locals dropping by to see if there is any news. We’ve been here in Shiruranantpal for a while and we plan on staying. It’s just about connecting people with work that needs doing.
