Priya Industries

Our place is at 60 Pune Marappa Thota, 1st Cross. It’s a quiet little corner compared to the main road. Priya Industries has been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s a simple setup with a few machines and a small storage area in the back. I usually get here around eight to open the shutters. The air always smells a bit like metal and oil. That is just part of the job. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights out front. Most of the people who come here are regulars who have been buying from us for years. My brother helps out with the books while I stay on the floor. The floors are a bit cracked. The walls could use some paint, but it doesn't bother us much. We just focus on making what we need to make. Sometimes the power goes out. We have to sit outside and wait for it to come back on. That’s when we catch up with the other shop owners on the cross. It’s a tight-knit group around here. We don’t do much advertising. Word of mouth is usually enough for us. If you’re looking for the 1st Cross, it’s the one right after the temple. Just walk down a bit and you’ll see our door open. We stay late most Fridays to finish up the week's orders. It is a humble place but it has been good to our family.
