Priti Beauty Parlour

Priti Beauty Parlour is tucked away in Shaniwar Peth. This is an old part of Pune with narrow streets and lots of history. Our shop fits right in with the neighborhood. It is a small room with just enough space for a couple of people to work and a few customers to sit. We don't have a lot of fancy decor. There are some old posters on the wall and a mirror that has a tiny crack in the corner, but it doesn't get in the way of seeing what you need to see. Most days, we open up early and stay until the sun goes down. People from the nearby houses come in for their regular beauty needs. We do a lot of threading and simple hair oiling. It is the kind of place where you can just sit and chat while getting your work done. We don't take appointments over the phone much; people just walk in and see if we are free. If we aren't, they go run an errand and come back later. The floor is made of stone and stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We have a small radio that we keep on for some background noise. It’s a quiet existence here. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Pune, just a reliable one for the people who live around Shaniwar Peth.
