Prema Beauty Parlours

If you walk down Tadiwala Road in Pune, near the Poona General Stores and the Bhaji Market, you'll find Prema Beauty Parlours at number 13. I’ve been here for several years now. The market area is always loud and crowded with people buying vegetables, which makes the shop feel very lively. We aren't a big chain salon. It’s just a small local shop where we do threading, waxing, and hair cutting. I have a couple of chairs and some basic mirrors. The paint is peeling a little in the corner, but it’s a clean and friendly place. My neighbors often stop by just to say hello even if they don’t need any work done. I started this parlor because I liked making people feel a bit better about how they look. We don't use any expensive fancy products, just the regular stuff that works well. On festival days, the shop gets really busy and there’s hardly any room to stand. I usually have a helper then to keep things moving. Tadiwala Road is a busy spot, and being near the Bhaji Market means there’s always something to see out the window. It’s a humble business, but it pays the bills and I enjoy seeing my regular customers every few weeks. We don't have a receptionist, so I just answer the phone myself when it rings. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
