Preeti K Design Studio

Our studio is located in Kothrud, which is a part of town I’ve always liked. We are right by Kirtistambh on Rajmahel Road. It’s a nice area for a design studio because there’s always something to see. The street outside is usually full of people going about their business. We keep the space at Preeti K Design Studio pretty straightforward. There are some sketches pinned up and samples lying around, but it’s not a showroom. It’s where the actual work happens. Rajmahel Road can get a bit congested in the evenings, but during the day it’s fine. I started this place because I wanted to work near home. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just about putting in the hours on the design projects. The neighbors are friendly, and we sometimes share a tea. I think being in a local spot like Kothrud makes the work feel more real. We aren't tucked away in some glass tower. If you walk past Kirtistambh, you’re basically there. We’ve had some long nights here when deadlines are tight. The lighting in the studio is good for drawing. I usually spend most of my time at the drafting table. It’s a decent life. We don’t need much else besides our tools and a bit of quiet to think. That’s how the studio has always been since we set it up. We just keep working on one project at a time.
