We are located over in Yerwada on Nirankari Street Number 4. It’s right off G T Road 1/A. This is a waste paper shop, so it’s mostly stacks of old newspapers, cardboard boxes, and all kinds of paper scrap. People from the offices and houses nearby bring their old stuff here. We weigh it out and pay them. It can get pretty messy with all the bundles piled up high. The dust from the paper gets everywhere, especially when it’s windy outside. I’ve been running Pratik Waste Paper Shop for a while now. It’s a practical business. Not much to look at, just a lot of recycling going on. We have a small truck that comes by to take the loads away to the big factories. Yerwada is a busy spot, and Nirankari Street usually has some traffic. We sit out front mostly, waiting for the next load to come in. Sometimes school kids bring their old notebooks after the exams are over. It’s good to see things not going to waste. The scale we use is an old one but it works fine. My brother helps me move the heavy bundles when they get too big. We don’t have fancy computers or anything. Just a notebook to keep track of the weights. If you’re around G T Road, you’ll probably see the piles of cardboard. That’s us. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from morning to night without much rest.
