Prasanna Beauty Parlor

Prasanna Beauty Parlor is tucked away in the Padmavati Nagar section of Dhankawdi here in Pune. It is a residential kind of neighborhood, so most of the faces we see are people who live just a couple of streets away. We have been working out of this spot in Sambhaji Nagar for quite a while now. It is not the kind of place that has big neon lights or anything like that. We just have our sign out front and a door that stays open most of the day when the weather is nice. Inside, it is pretty basic but functional. We do a lot of threading and hair cutting, mostly for the women around here who don't want to travel all the way into the main city center. Dhankawdi can be a bit tricky to navigate if you are not from here, but once you find Padmavati Nagar, we are easy to spot. The shop isn't huge, so sometimes you might have to wait a few minutes on the bench if we are already busy with someone. We try to keep things moving though. It is just a simple way to make a living and help the neighbors look a bit tidier. We don't use any complicated booking systems, people usually just walk in or call us up to see if we are free. It works out fine for everyone involved. We just take it day by day and try to keep the place welcoming for everyone who comes in for a quick visit.
