Pranam Consultants is over on Gangappa Street in Vadapalani. We are at number 7E. Vadapalani is a busy part of Chennai, known for the temple and all the film studios, but our street is a bit more ordinary. We are consultants, which basically means we spend a lot of time talking to people and helping them figure things out. We don’t have a big, shiny office with glass partitions. It’s a regular room with some desks and chairs. We’ve been here for a few years now. The salt air in Chennai can be tough on the electronics, but we manage. Most of our days are spent meeting with folks who walk in or call us up. We don’t do a lot of fancy advertising. Word of mouth is usually how people find us. We try to be helpful and give straight answers. No one likes a consultant who uses too many big words. We keep it plain and simple. The traffic on Gangappa Street can be a nightmare during rush hour, so we usually get here early and stay late. It’s a small operation. Just a couple of us making sure the work gets done right. We aren't looking to become a giant firm. We like the size we are now. It lets us talk to everyone personally. That’s the way we’ve always done it here in Chennai, and we don't plan on changing our way of working anytime soon or moving to a different neighborhood.
