Our firm is located in Sadashiv Peth, which is a very traditional and busy part of Pune. If you know the area, you know how the lanes are and how much history is there. Pradeep K Lodha & Co operates out of a space here that is pretty functional. We don't have any of those modern office features that you see in the IT parks. It’s just a regular old-school office with plenty of wooden desks and cupboards for all the records we have to keep. Being in Sadashiv Peth means we are close to a lot of other businesses and shops, so there is always people moving around. The work we do is mostly about numbers, taxes, and audits. It involves a lot of sitting and double-checking figures. Sometimes we have to go out to meet clients at their own places, but mostly people come here. The atmosphere is quiet, except when the phones start going off during the busy months. We don't have a big team, just a few people who know what they are doing. We’ve been around long enough that the routine is second nature. We don't use any fancy talk or marketing tricks. We just tell people what they need to do for their accounts and then we get to work on it. It’s a practical way to run things, and it seems to work for the people who visit us.
