Practising As A Tax Consultant

I spend most of my working hours at Shreyash Apartment in Pune. The office is in B6, which is tucked right behind Hotel Rugved. If you know the New D P Road in Kothrud, you know it can get pretty busy with all the new shops and people moving in. I’ve been here long enough to see the neighborhood change quite a bit. My work as a tax consultant isn't exactly the kind of thing people get excited about, but it’s necessary. I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk, looking through piles of receipts and government forms. It’s a small space, nothing like those big corporate offices in the IT parks. It’s just a regular room with a couple of chairs for people to sit while we go over their papers. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but I don't mind. Living and working in Kothrud 411029 feels right. I usually have tea from the stall nearby when the afternoon slump hits. There isn't any fancy marketing here. People just find me because they need their taxes sorted out and I happen to be here. It’s a lot of calculating and checking rules that seem to change every other day. I try to keep things organized, though the files do tend to pile up during the busy months. It’s just a quiet, local practice for people who want someone nearby to handle their tax stuff.
