D. S. R. Exports

Our place is at 34 Parijat in Maheshnagar, over in the Pimpri area. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood compared to some of the bigger commercial hubs, which is nice. D. S. R. Exports operates out of here, and if you walked by, you might just think it’s another regular building. Inside, it’s a different story. We have boxes stacked up in the corners and the printer is usually running. We spend our time coordinating different shipments. It's a lot of double-checking addresses and making sure the counts are right. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to start over, but that’s just part of the job. Pimpri has grown a lot lately, so getting around takes longer than it used to. We usually start early before the heat gets too bad. It’s just a few of us here. We don’t wear suits or anything. Most days it’s just jeans and a t-shirt because we’re moving stuff around. The fan in the back room makes a clicking sound that we’ve all learned to ignore. We take our lunch breaks together when we can. It’s a simple setup, really. We just focus on the task in front of us. Exporting stuff requires a lot of patience with all the paperwork involved. We try to stay on top of it so things don't pile up too high on the desks. We just keep our heads down and get the boxes out the door.
