I started Pijyo Tech because I wanted to do something on my own here in Chandigarh. We’re based out of a unit in the Festival Apartment in Viman Nagar. It’s a nice enough area, though parking can be a bit of a nightmare when the market nearby gets crowded. I do a lot of tech support and small development projects from my desk here. The room is usually filled with cables, a couple of monitors, and half-empty coffee mugs. It isn’t a big tech firm with hundreds of employees; it’s just a small setup where I can focus on solving problems for local clients. Sometimes I’m working late into the night because a server went down or someone’s website isn't loading right. Viman Nagar has changed a lot since I first moved into this apartment. There are more shops and more people now. I like being close to everything, even if the building is a bit older. I don’t spend much on advertising; mostly people just find me through word of mouth or because they live in the same complex. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just me and my keyboard. I try to stay updated with all the new gadgets and coding languages, which is a never-ending task. Some days I miss working in a big office, but then I remember I don’t have a boss breathing down my neck and I feel okay again. It works for me.
