You can find us over at Pramod Hanumant Fadtare’s place in Vadapuri village. It’s in the Indapur taluka of Pune district. We go by Ph Progresive Farmers Producer Company Limited. The 'Ph' part is just a nod to the local folks involved in this. We aren't big-city people with suits and ties. Most of us are more comfortable in the fields than behind a desk. We use the space at Vadapuri to get our group organized. Being in Indapur, we are surrounded by farms and people who have been doing this for generations. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate stuff. We just wanted a way for the farmers around here to work together on things like seeds and selling the produce. Life in the village is pretty straightforward. You wake up, check the water, and see what needs doing on the land. Our office is just a part of the house where we keep the folders and have our meetings. It’s a bit informal, and people often stop by just to chat about the weather or the local news. We like it that way. It’s more about the community and the work we do with our hands. We are just trying to keep things going and make sure the farming in our corner of Pune is handled okay. It's just a bunch of us working.
