We run an HR academy here, which basically means we spend our days teaching people how to handle hiring, payroll, and all that boring but necessary office stuff. The classroom isn't huge, but it fits enough chairs for the students who show up. We started this place because we saw a lot of people struggling to understand how a proper office should run. There’s a small desk near the door where we keep the attendance sheets and a coffee machine that gets a lot of use in the afternoons. It’s not a fancy school with a big campus or anything like that. It’s just a few rooms where we talk about resumes and labor laws. Sometimes it gets a bit stuffy when the sun hits the windows, but we have some fans going. We try to keep things down to earth. No one here wears a suit unless they absolutely have to. We just want folks to learn the ropes so they can get better jobs. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses, so it’s a pretty friendly vibe in the building. We’ve been here long enough that we know which local stall has the best snacks for the break times. It’s just a regular place doing regular work and trying to help people get ahead in their careers.
