Perfect Computer

Perfect Computer is tucked away in Ghorpadi Peth, right in front of the police station. Our official address is 310 Ramkrushna Housing Society No 4, Shop No 19, over in the Swargate area of Pune. It’s a busy part of town and we’ve been here since the early 2000s. We handle all kinds of computer troubles, from viruses to broken keyboards. The shop is small, so we have to be careful not to trip over the boxes of cables on the floor. It’s just me and a young guy I hired last year to help with the software stuff. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy brochures. People know us because we’ve been in the same spot for a long time. The police station across the street makes it easy for people to find us. Sometimes we go over there to fix their machines too. It’s a steady stream of work, and we like the variety of people who come through the door. Swargate is always loud with the buses and the rickshaws, but inside the shop, it’s mostly just the sound of fans whirring. We don't promise anything perfect despite the name; we just do our best to get things working again. It’s a practical job that keeps us connected to the community. We usually close up late because there is always one last job to finish. It’s just the way we do things here in Pune.
