Maharashtra Steel Furniture

Our place, Maharashtra Steel Furniture, is on the Pune Satara Road. We are pretty easy to find because we are right near the Hero Honda showroom in Padmavati. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there is always dust coming in from the street, and we are constantly wiping down the metal surfaces. The shop floor is full of heavy items, mostly steel cupboards and racks. It smells like metal and paint most of the time. We don’t have much in the way of air conditioning, just a couple of big ceiling fans that hum all day long. When the trucks come to unload new stock, the whole place gets a bit chaotic. We have to move things around to make space, which is a lot of heavy lifting. My back usually aches by the end of the shift. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and we know most of the other shop owners on this block. Sometimes we stand out front for a bit just to get some air and watch the traffic go by. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, making the steel look different than it does in the sun. It’s a practical setup. We don’t have fancy displays or soft music playing. It’s just us, the furniture, and the noise from the highway. We keep things simple and just focus on moving the inventory out as it comes.
